My duties include comprehensive dental care for my patients, from scaling teeth to educating my patients on how to achieve and maintain overall health. I’ve worked in the dental field for 37 years and enjoy helping people feel better by improving their health and smiles. I have learned so many things from my patients who have helped me to become a better person and health care provider. Our team makes going to work fabulous every day. The attitude of any office always starts at the top; so, cheers to Dr. Amaral and Dr Nick!
I am originally from Los Angeles and have lived in Washoe Valley since 1994. It’s a wonderful place to live and work. My husband, Ron, and I have been married for 35 years. Our daughter, Katie, and her husband, Nick, have a daughter Maggie May and son Nicholas. We are fortunate to have my mother, Dorothy, and my mother-in-law, Ethel, residing with us. For over 15 years I have worked on the Ricky Woodring Memorial Fund in memory of our son who passed away in a car accident at the age of 17. It’s been an honor to help students in our community as a tribute to our son.
As a Dental Hygienist, helping to create and maintain beautiful and healthy smiles is my professional passion. I look forward to meeting with each patient to hear about the progress in their journey as we work together to reach their goals. It is important to me that my patients are comfortable and feel they can voice any concerns they might have about their progress. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and it has been exciting to continue to learn and share the advancements in dental care for over 30 years with my patients. I want to ensure that my patients know they are cared for while they are in my dental chair.
The interaction with so many amazing patients has also enriched my life. They are a wealth of information and experiences. On my off time, my husband and I enjoy exploring the beauty of Sierra Nevada.
At A Dentistry I am grateful to work with professionals committed to providing the most advanced, skilled and knowledgeable technology in dentistry. Together we can achieve enhanced dental health and give you a sparkling smile.
I was born and raised right here in Reno, Nevada, and I love calling Reno home! I have been married for 12 years to my amazing husband, Daryl, and we have a daughter, Amelia, and a son, Dawson. I am a certified Dental Assistant, graduating from the TMCC Dental Assistant program in 2004. After 5 years I transitioned to the administration side of dentistry, which is a better fit for me. What I love most about dentistry is the ability to help people smile again! I enjoy interacting and connecting with the patients and creating lifelong relationships. I enjoy a simple life, being active, and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about the relationships I keep, and aDentistry encourages a life outside the office in order to facilitate those. I truly enjoy working with such a great group of like-minded people who have become family. I love that our halls are filled with laughter on a daily basis! Life is more fun with A Dentistry!
I am a scheduling and treatment coordinator and have been for about 3 years now. I had a totally different career 3 years ago and needed a change; luckily dentistry welcomed me with open arms. I knew very little about dentistry when I was first introduced and now I’m quite excited and proud of what I know and where I will go! I am definitely a people person and love to connect with patients. A patients experience begins and ends with me at the front desk and I strive to make it an extremely pleasant one – from check in to check out.
I have a beautiful teenage daughter in high school and we live with my longtime boyfriend. I am originally from North Carolina and have been in the Reno/Sparks area since 2003. My family and I love trying new restaurants and just exploring all that the Reno/Sparks area has to offer. It’s such a beautiful place to live – the mountains are so close, there are lots of fantastic outdoor events, and we experience all 4 seasons.
I love the A Dentistry team. We sincerely care about our patients and will go above and beyond to keep their smiles healthy and beautiful. I love the feel of the office vibe and I know our patients do too.
I have been in the dental field as a dental assistant for a few years now. My goal as a dental assistant is to make sure every patient feels comfortable when sitting in the dental chair. What I love most about this field, is helping patients with their smile, whether it be cosmetics or getting the patient out of pain. Dentistry has made so many technological advancements throughout the years, I enjoy being a part of that and watching it grow more and more. I love learning about all the new materials and equipment that comes out, and how it helps a patient specifically. I’m excited to work with such a close knit office who works very well together.
I was born and raised in Las Vegas, but have lived in Reno for over 12 years. I love it here in Reno!! There are so many fun events to attend during the summer, from wine walks, and all the festivals to food truck Fridays. What I love most about Reno is how close everything is, you can go snowboarding and water skiing in the same day if you really wanted to! The sunsets here are amazing and you get to enjoy all 4 seasons. I have an 8 year old daughter who has taught me how precious time really is and to always live the best life you can. I enjoy hiking the Reno trails; my favorite is the “Hunter Creek” trail. I also like going the movies, social outings with friends and family, working out, shopping, sleeping and eating. I love food!! I am most passionate about living a happy, healthy lifestyle.
My career as a certified dental assistant began in 1991 when I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at TMCC. Since then, there have been many fantastic changes in the world of dentistry. I wonder what new materials and how technologies will change the future of patient care. I love hands-on work and learning about new and improved materials. As an experienced chair-side dental assistant, it is my goal to create a friendly and comfortable visit for each patient during their dental appointment.
I enjoy meeting new and returning patients, and helping them achieve their goal of improving their smile. I am happy to be a part of the great dental care team of Drs. Amaral and Nick whose goal is to keep all visiting patients as comfortable as possible while constantly striving to deliver the best care.
I was born in South Korea and came to the USA in 1974. I moved to Reno in 1982 and throughout all these years I’ve seen many wonderful changes and growth in the Reno-Sparks area. I like to hike around the beautiful Galena Creek trail area and enjoy walking and bicycling around my neighborhood.
